High postal prices coming

Post office general announced higher postal fees coming. He happens to be a left over from the last administration, that cannot be fired. I’m worried about shoppers being put off by higher shipping. I offer discounts already. This news has me worried.

Just curious:  Why cannot a Cabinet member not be fired if he's a leftover from the last administration?

Postal inspector General is not a cabinet member. He was approved/appointed by congress to the position of U.S. Postal Inspector, therefore only congress has the ability/authority to remove him.

Yeah me too, considering the stellar job they've done so far...

Now they want to extend 3 day delivery time to 5 days.... well not a big shocker considering many times if you track the shipment it says "in transit, arriving late".... but they will still charge the same cost they charged for 3 day delivery, for 5 day.... like, if it's gonna be slower, change me less, I mean, common sense. If you're offering a lesser service, charge a lower price... 😕  But common sense is gone these days.

I offer free shipping on all media and first class items.... that is also why I offer an extra discount for people who buy more than one item, it saves me on the shipping and then they save too, so everyone (hopefully) is happy.

USPS shipping  rates and/or the commercial rate discount have been going up like clock work every year in January since I joined eBay in 2008.  

BTW UPS and FedEx has been doing similar increases but in late December.
