Why doesn't Ebay offer more options than just the few they have for sellers when it comes to refunds??? I don't offer returns and feel bad for a buyer who bought an item yet it is not compatible with a certain network provider. It's just a simple phone.
Now I want to give them a refund and the buyer is willing to pay for shipping....this is NOT an option when trying to resolve. I can partially refund, fully refund buyer keeps item etc. Or I pay for a shipping label. There isn't an option to put the cost on the buyer to pay for shipping???
If anyone knows what to do please let me know. Thank yoU~!

@bargainbuybin The "No returns accepted" setting is misleading ... eBay created a tool for Buyers to get around that and it forces Sellers to pay the return shipping ... its called an Item not as described claim (INAD). In addition, Sellers will get a ding on their account for the INAD return unless eBay removes it as part of the more recent Seller Protections. Link here: https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/selling-policies/seller-protections?id=4345&st=3&pos=1&query=Sell...
In Retail sales, which is what Selling on eBay is, returns should be accepted without issue in most cases.

It sounds like the buyer has made a Money Back Guarantee claim ... they can't change it now.
If the buyer uses the label provided by eBay, then you will pay for it. But, if the buyer has agreed to pay for the return, then the simplest thing to do would be for them to ignore the eBay label, go to the USPS, and pay for shipping at the counter.

Thanks all - I guess I will ask if they will Not use the label lol. Just seems ridiculous. What would the harm be in having a radio button for the buyer to pay shipping.
Then I'll have to call Ebay to make sure I don't get dinged. The buyer did comment and clearly say the item is not defective or broke - even though that is the reason they chose for the return :(. I've been on Ebay for 20 years...just crazy to me they still haven't figured it all out.
