Hello, I am fairly new to selling I recently had an item returned as 'did not fit'. I was fine with that. They buyer shipped the item, I tracked it and it shows delivered, however, I did not receive the item, I was home when the postal carrier brought our mail on the day the tracking stated it was delivered (Apr 27, 2020, 6:56 PM EST). I waited an extra day to see if maybe it would show up, but nothing has shown up as of yet. The buyer fulfilled his part by sending the item back, although I don't know for a fact if it was what I originally sold him, as I never received the package at my house for inspection. I know in Ebays eyes, the buyer fulfilled his part, he did use a return label that Ebay provided. I don't know what to do at this point. I have never had a problem with anything arriving at my house. What steps should/can I take? Please advise.

Update #2 - The item finally arrived, I was worried it was delivered to the wrong address. Thankfully this had a good ending. Thanks for the help.

Update: I talked to the post office, they basically told me that there is nothing they can do, that he package may be late, even though it was scanned "delivered" even though as she put it it was a 6:56 PM EST which is very late for them to be scanning. As mentioned in the OP I was home, so was my husband, he received that day's mail, and we did not get the package. The customer service rep said after 30 days I can put in a claim. This is a returned item I sold and is being sent back to me.
I am frustrated and worried that I may not be able to resolve this, as I have never had this issue before. Be kind please, thank you.
