Dear wise fellow ebayers i need your help
So i bought from this sketchy seller (will talk about this later) and the seller shipped the item through UPS, item was dropped off to UPS store on 1st June it’s almost been 3 days but there’s no info updated after that.
No expected delivery date, No picked up scan yet. It is just not moving at all for almost 3 days.
Is this common that it doesn’t get picked up by courier nor shows no expected delivery date?
I have been searching and from my understanding drop offs must be scanned and picked up by the courier every business day i don’t think there are too many drop offs to be picked up for 3 business days (item dropped off 6/1 morning)
The reason why im worried about scam is because
1. Item location is different from where the item is dropped off (totally different state)
2. Seller treated me like im the one who is scammer when i finished payment somehow - how can be buyer a scammer? I get to be suspicious of this seller from this point
3. seller has no feedback at all
4. seller relisted the exact same item with same listing pictures as soon as i made a payment and when i asked about this he replied that he is selling exact same items but it was just duplicate listing but after i talked to the ebay about this seller closed the duplicate listing somehow
I know i should just wait for now to be able to open a case but i really want the item and want to know if im paranoid or it is normal to think about scam ?
What’s your opinion about this transaction and will this tracking be updated in new few days?

Have almost never seen a listing that did not include an estimated delivery date.

Yeah, it's pretty rare. As a buyer I've seen it once or twice.

the MBG is used when there is a problem, its pretty much failsafe but people still do stupid things with it anyway.
if you are going to get scammed then forum members will help wth preventing that
messaging the buyer is a problem.its not for you to do since many buyers are mislead on purpose by lousy sellers and blindly believe the seller.

So would that be ok to wait for open case for INR and im covered by MBG Correct? (In case item is still stuck and not delivered)

Lisint on EBAY has estimated delivery date
Im talking about UPS that doesn’t show any estimated delivery date, still shows ‘check back tomorrow for an updated delivery date’ and no estimated delivery, no movement

So 4kr0733 and 9kr1047 are the same person?
Pardon my stupidity.

The item has been in transit for four days.
Unless it was shipped in the same city, perhaps in the same state, as your location, don't worry about it.
EBay gave you the window for delivery, which is based on seller and shipper input. If it doesn't arrive by the last day you can open a Not Received Dispute. There are links all over the site, including on your original listing.
1.) He might be dropshipping or using an Amazon Fulfillment Centre to handle shipping. No biggie, but sellers are supposed to give the location of the product not their own.
2.) If you can't imagine how a buyer can scam, you just proved yourself to be an honest man.
3.) Newbies are encouraged to do some buying before they start selling to learn how the site really works. Most don't. This btw also explains why he is so suspicious of you.
4.) If this was a mass produced item, that's no big deal. One iPad or Starbucks cup or Swarovski crystal looks pretty much like the next. Even I can use the same listing for some of the books and First Day Covers (philately, another ID) I sell, because I have two or more identical.

that is exactly what you should do.if you thnk the seller is goig to be a problem then you can just leave them out of the equation
buyers do not need permission from the seller to start a case............its just done with the MBG
the MBG is a buyers tool to use when a problem crops up
all sellers abide by the MBG rules..ebay makes sure sellers know this.even if they do not want to hear it

Just for an update,
Finally it showed up on the system! Im so glad rn i still wish it is the exact item that i bought for... tbd

Thank you for your answer,
I appreciate your sincere reply!
Turns out it finally showed up on the system! But still im little suspicious of this guy given the situation i explained..
Because of the question 4 and it’s expensive item, there’s still question mark left as seller suddenly closed the duplicate listing after i inquired about. In afterthought, maybe this could be genuine as scammers usually listing more than 2-3 items to scam not just 2 (that’s just what i hope to be true tho..)

As of right now i finally see that the item is updated and is near my state finally!!
Thank you so much for your info and screenshot it really helped me ease my mind i was almost giving up my hope to receive and ready to open case INR.
Still i need to check if its the exact same item i bought for as it could be totally wrong item still..
Will come back as soon as i find this out!

Good catch as the OP is using two different user ID's on this post

What could possibly be happening is that your seller is drop shipping. I recently purchased an item from a seller located in Laredo, Texas, but my package was shipped from Fontana, California. It was scanned as accepted but no further scans until it was delivered. The reason was that the seller ordered it from Walmart and had it delivered to me.
