Ground Advantage and Priority Envelope

I am late to the game because I ship Media Mail unless I have a comic book or magazine. I was just researching prices and it looks like for under 1 lb the Ground Advantage costs as much as the Priority envelope?

Re: Ground Advantage and Priority Envelope

For weights up to 15.999 ounces, the prices for Ground Advantage are the same as the prices for First Class packages were up until July 9 when Ground Advantage started.  Then at exactly 1 pound, there's a different price, and then there's a price for packages that are over 1 pound but not over 2 pounds.

So what you need to do is specify your package weight in ounces rather than just choosing 1 pound.  But even if you pay that odd 1-pound rate, it's lower than the price of a flat-rate envelope except for the farthest Zones.

You can use eBay's shipping calculator to check the details:

Re: Ground Advantage and Priority Envelope

I see it now, thank you for helping. I was on the USPS site and I must have been confused by what I was seeing.
