Global shipping program

What are your thoughts on the global shipping program?  Good? Bad?

Does it take longer to get to the destination?  Is it cheaper to do it this way?   Thanks

Certainly not cheaper for the buyer. A straight-up rip-off. If I was foolish enough to use GSP, I'd lose at least a dozen long-time international customers. Pitney-Bowes has no business being involved in my business.

It depends on what you are selling.  In my case, the items that I am selling are $40-$500 plus when I offer GSP.  I use the program, as I don't want to figure out the following, shipping to the destination, customs to buyers country, insurance.  If its cheaper or most costly to buyers, its not my concern.  If it takes longer, again its not my concern.  If some one wants some thing he/she will buy it and understands that it might take up to 1 month to get there.

So far, I have had only 2 issues selling through GSP.  And on both occasions, ebay has sided with me.

Being in Canada I've purchased many times from the USA via GSP.  Never had an issue and expect it to show up in 2-3 weeks.   My last item was $850, to buy it in Canada $1300.  The seller ships to Kentucky and he is done.  GSP people are responsible after that if item gets lost.

Started using the GSP this year for anything I sell under $500 to test it out.  In a year I've seen lots of transactions, and had zero issues.  Easy for me because I get to sell worldwide, and not have to deal with the pain of customs.  Depending on what you sell, the GSP can certainly give your sales a boost.
