Glitch in first class weights?

I am trying to list an item weighting 14 oz with first class shipping and am getting an error that first class shipping is only eligible on items under 3 oz. So far as I know first class shipping is available on packages under 1 lb, not 3 oz. I have many items listed for first class shipping that are more than 3 oz, so what is going on?

In the drop-down menu for "Package type" it seems that you have chosen "letter" rather than "Package/thick envelope."

Make sure you are choosing '1st Class PACKAGE' and not an envelope. PACKAGES can go to 16oz. ENVELOPES are your basic 'flat' envelope' you get in your mail box.

@louisepeppercorn Nothing has changed. Are you certain you are selecting package and not envelope? Have another look as it seems you are inadvertently choosing something which is causing this issue. Best of luck to you....

3 ounces is the limit for eBay Standard Envelope @louisepeppercorn which is a service for postcards, coins, trading cards. Check your shipping selections.
