I ordered a Yu-Gi-Oh card from a seller on March 3, 2021. Never received the item, never got any tracking information, no word on if it shipped, if it was lost, anything.
I opened a return request, even though "the seller doesn't accept returns." Well, I never got the item I ordered, nor did I hear *anything* from the seller, *nor* has the seller responded to any of the messages I've sent him. The return request was opened on March 20th. Navigating through Ebay's various protocols on how to handle this, I was told I had to wait till March 26th to ask Ebay to step in. It's March 27th as I type and there is *no option at all* to do so. I just keep getting redirected to the original return request stating I have to wait for the seller to respond (guarantee he never will) and that the return request will be open until April 23rd
I only paid $5.29 which isn't a lot of money, but I never received what I paid for and the seller has made *no* effort whatsoever to communicate with me, so how in the world can I get my money back?

click "Help & Contact" at the top left of your screen.
scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Contact Us"
Click on "Buying"
click on "check the status of your return or missing item request"
at the bottom left click on "have us call you" (currently the wait for a call is 6 mins.
wait for call
answer call when they call
explain the situation to the customer service tech (you purchased item, it never arrived, you started missing item case, seller never responded or uploaded tracking)
they will immediately find the case in your favor and credit the return to your original form of payment. It should take about 5-8 mins. Hope this helps.

Oh, my. You've opened the wrong claim. You don't need a 'Return' request... you have nothing to return. You should have opened an Item Not Received claim, if it is one day past the Estimated Delivery Date on the order.

I don't know, maybe just possibly the buyer made a mistake ????
OP should be no problem changing to item not received case. I mean tracking doesn't show delivered.

OP, you should have no problem being able to change return to item not received. I mean, tracking doesn't show delivered and Ebay can see that.

hmm well to me it sounds like you got scammed. I'm not sure if you can get your money back. Ebay is starting to not do anything to help people, sorry about you not getting your item.

Where do you get your information? No one has been scammed.
The OP opened a return case, but has nothing to return as he did not receive his purchase.
It seems he needs to contact eBay and ask that his case be changed to an item not received case.
(I don't know how easy it is to do that.)

I called customer service a couple days ago and i received an automated thing saying the phone number was no longer active and got disconnected right after

The customer service rep i spoke to was extremely friendly and helpful and changed the return request to a missing item request, but said the seller still has till April 1st to make things right
I asked if I can call ebay again if there is no resolution by then and she said I could, though I'm unsure if the onus is on me to make the call or if I can follow the steps to have them call me like you just outlined
I can probably do either/or and have nothing to worry about, but I'm new to this so I'd rather have some certainty haha....thanks again for your help!!

You opened a return case? What exactly did you plan to return?
If the item was never received then you open an item not received case.

There is no selection for a seller's offer of a warranty to report them about.
