GSP - item stuck in Customs and labelling

I bought an item on Ebay with shipping via the GSP from US to Norway on 11th march. It was delivered by seller to the hub on 15th march but the tracking shows it is with the "Customs and labelling" in Illionis since 22 March.

This is increasingly frustrating, the item had an estimated arrival date from 2 to 4th april.

It is not possible to get through the chat bot and I cannot find any phone number to contact an agent.

Does anyone have any tips on how to get this resolved so that the package actually moves on?

Hope that I can get some assistance with this matter ...

Re: GSP - item stuck in Customs and labelling

I have no way of knowing your buying habits but if you haven’t done a lot of international business, you may be unaware of the holdups in shipments passing through customs in any country.

delays of days, weeks, even months are possible. There is no magic fix or number you can call that I am aware of. Plus there is the added issues of weather delays and/ or available transportation services available at the time of your shipment being processed.

your only remedy is to wait out the remaining time until the Estimated Delivery Date passes and then attempt to file a claim for an Item Not Received. And even though your item may not arrive by the EDD, your seller deserves the courtesy of you ( voluntarily) giving it slightly more time before filing, exactly due to the fact that international shipments do tend to get delayed,  and that is out of the seller’s control.

i have had shipments delayed for long periods past the EDD, but they always arrive. A hasty claim may end in you having to return the item when it does come after a refund, or the hassle of having to rearrange a payment.

Re: GSP - item stuck in Customs and labelling

"Estimated arrival date" is just an estimate. your item does have tracking.

You can if you want open a claim after April 5th and see what happens.

That's about all a buyer can do.
