Hey all,
So I have been selling some used home items and charging for shipping with Priority Shipping (no auction, all Buy Now).
But now I want to sell some other stuff (no auction) and offer free shipping which of course I would build into the item (not heavy items).
I was Googling around and Im piecing together this info.
Is there a way to use USPS Regional rates when free shipping? I read that Regional is cheaper...?
Not sure which way to go, still learning this stuff.
Thank you!
S

When you print your postage label, you will have access to all of the Priority Mail options, including the Regional-rate boxes.
Postage for the Regoinal "A" boxes is the same as the Commercial Base postage for 2 pounds, and for the "B" boxes it's the same as the 5-pound rate.

When you set up a listing, the eBay shipping menu does not include the Regional rate boxes. However, you can select Priority Mail and a weight of 2 lbs. (Box A) or 5 lbs. (Box B). Your buyer will pay the calculated 2 lb. or 5 lb. rate. Keep in mind that the maximum actual weights are 15 lbs. and 20 lbs. and the Regional boxes are fairly small. The A and B boxes are for domestic use only.
When you print an online prepaid label, you will have to select Regional A or B and you will be charged the appropriate zoned rate. For example, I like to mail 3 to 6 lbs. of books or dishes in a Regional A box and pay for only 2 lbs.
Be aware that if you offer calculated international shipping or use the GSP a "fake" weight will mess up the shipping calculator for those options.

Thank you. So what makes more sense to price out my item including free shipping anywhere in the USA?
