Thank you for the reminder. I already went to the post office on a day it was closed. I think Columbus Day. I almost went to the post office on Dec 26 until I thought to double check. That would have definitely have been me this coming Monday not even thinking to check.

Ha. Thanks for posting this. It's not a big deal to me, but I didn't expect this coming Monday to be a postal Holiday. Christmas? Yes. But January 2nd? Nope, I wouldn't have assumed that.

When a holiday falls on a Saturday, USPS celebrates it on the previous Friday.

When a holiday falls on a Sunday, USPS celebrates it on the Monday following.

My post office takes the cake for worst post office in all America!

One day last month it was cold & raining ☔️ so I went to mail out an eBay package early before it opened up getting there around 8:40 & was maybe 7th on line. Good job I thought!

Pouring that day…

9 A.M. comes & goes and no lights within come on & the door never opened up!

The line outside in the rain is getting longer & longer.

Finally at around 9:45 A.M. I decide to leave with door locked and place still dark!

New York City post office never opened up that day!

I found out next day when I went back to mail out the same package that everyone working at my post office called in sick that day! It never opened up!

is that even possible for a United States 🇺🇸 federal post office never to open. No supervisor?

So I don’t know if my post office is open or not ever!
