First time shipping over seas

Hello! First time shipping from the US to EU, and I am wondering how VAT works. Will the receiver have to pay VAT upon delivery, or does eBay do the commercial invoice for me? Also, can somebody explain what to do with a commercial invoice and how it works? Thanks :)

eBay collects VAT when the buyer pays for the item. 

What method are you using to ship it?

Since you're located in Denmark @luib22 and have nothing listed for sale, we'll need to know more details about your business model to assist.

For example, are you using a US-based company as a drop-shipper? If so, that company would handle all shipments, no?

As you registered this account less than 2 months ago, is it safe to assume you are new to eBay and eBay selling? If you're drop-shipping, eBay generally requires a contract with your drop-shipper.
