I bought several pairs of shorts from a seller. When they arrived, I noticed that one had a torn belt loop; the seller looked at her photos and agreed that she'd overlooked it when she listed the shorts.
She offered me a $5 refund or to return the shorts. I opted to return them, and she replied, "You can return them for a full refund."
Isn't the seller supposed to pay for return shipping in cases like these?
Thank you.

Go to the resolution center below and select, the item doesn't match the description.
Seller will have 3 days to accept the return and provide return shipping or refund without returning the item.
If they don't, on day 4, return to the case and ask Ebay to step in.

Yes, you open a 'return' case for 'damaged' and the seller will have to provide a shipping label, or it will be automatically supplied. If it is not in 4 days, revisit the 'case' and click the 'escalate to ebay' button.

Yes, the seller pays when it's not as described.

Thank you.
Should I first ask the seller to send me a return label, or open the case right away?
