I have used First Class International Shipping for years when shipping from the United States to other countries on eBay. Today I started receiving error messages (attached).

I called ebay customer service and I was told that the USPS no longer supports International First Class shipping. But, eBay shipping tools and PayPal shipping tools have not been updated as yet. I called eBay customer service again and they said there is a technocal problem that has existed since January 19, 2018 and there is no response from the USPS to fix the problem. eBay customer service said I should take my packages directly to the Post Office and mail them from there.

I have listings with 14-16 oz First class and eBay system will not calculate shipping on those. In fact it will not allow a purchase. The work around was I changed the listing to a flat rate charge for the time being.

I was able to print an international first class parcel label with no issues, direct from USPS.com. Still unable to do so from either eBay or PayPal.

Once again eBay shows their sellers how little they care. Apparently USPS no longer supports International First Class shipments through the eBay site and although eBay is aware of this they failed to notify sellers. The way we all find out about this change is when we attempt to generate and print shipping labels and get an error message. We then must call eBay to inform them of the "PROBLEM" to find out that it's not a "PROBLEM" it's a "CHANGE WITH USPS and EBAY".
Why isn't eBay communicaing such a dramatic change with their sellers? Why must we learn of this through failed attempts to purchase and print shipping labels and a need to call eBay about the error message?

I agree, Ebay NEVER ANNOUNCED this to the sellers. Ihave checked the announcement page for the past two days. Then I finally phoned Ebay this AM only to find out they are fully aware of the FACT that sellers can no longer print USPS first class international shipping labels.
This is totally unacceptable not to let the sellers know that Ebay shipping labels will not print up USPS international first class mail labels. Ebay needs to pay me for the extra it cost me to ship Priority mail international IMMEDIATELY ! !
TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE that Ebay NEVER notified the sellers about this.

I will talk to my postmaster today

Sure. Just take them to USPS customer counter and pay the highest retail rate possible for your shipping because of eBay and USPS software issues... Thumbs down.

USPS still ships International First Class packages.
The problem is on ebay's end.

According to my conversation with the eBay rep, minutes ago, they are still working on the fix. If you have to go to USPS directly, they will credit the difference. If you get a late shipment ding, it will be removed.
Now of course, I expect you will have to fight for each of those things, but it seems to be on their radar, and it seems like a fix is in the works.

People need to call into E_BAY RADIO this week,,, Griff does get things fixed and sends e-mails direct to the departments that need to be addressed,, plus he has the higher ups ear~~
The radio show is a lot of fluff, but Griff does care whern something is wrong~~
I listen every week~~~
Its unacceptable how a company this big has issue after issue, with new roll outs, policy changes and simple updates
I started selling on e-bay in 1997,, It use to be so much bigger than Amazon,,, But now they are a clear 2nd place
I love E-bay,, but they have to get things right~~ I hate playing with a 2nd place team all the time
E-bay should really consult me and simple things~~~
