Fedex issue...

Sorry if this is a repeat but I'm not sure if my earlier post went to the right place. Anyway, I bought  a Fedex delivery label through Ebay. After it was shipped, the customer wanted the package to be held at the local Fedex hub. Per the Fedex website, I directed him to their "delivery manager" to arrange that but there it said that only the shipper could do that. Well, at his request, I tried but I TOO was told only the shipper could do that. Evidently, it doesn't recognize me as the "shipper." Does Fedex consider Ebay to be the shipper? If so, is there a "workaround"?

Re: Fedex issue...

When you buy the label through Ebay, Ebay restricts the ability to hold or forward a package. A prudent action given that Ebay does not limit the shipment address to an address in the credit card issuer's Address Verification Service.

All Ebay orders MUST be delivered to the address shown on the order. No changes, no holds, FEDEX or any other carrier.

Re: Fedex issue...

Buyer who is receiving the package can have it send at their local Fedex hub to pick up doing that in the tracking number.

And if item doesn't get delivered to buyer they get s slip to that even saids what the buyer can do.

I done that...'easy as pie' before...same with UPS.

"Buyer who is receiving the package can have it send at their local Fedex hub..."? Nope, per the Fedex website, if you try that it will say only the SHIPPER can make that request. However, when you purchase the label through Ebay, Fedex does NOT consider the seller to be the shipper -- I tried and Fedex refused, just saying only the "shipper" can change destination.

Buyer can change the address and have it shipped to their local FedEx location when they check out.

Have a great day.
