Fedex Postage amount charged different than estimated when label printed

Can someone tell me why when I print a Fedex shipping label it shows me the amount I will be charged for the label but once the label is scanned the amount changes. Sometimes it is a few cents lower and sometimes it is $18 more. I don't fudge my measurements or weights. I can't call fedex because ebay is the account holder and I won't call ebay because it would be a waste of time due to the fact the low level customer service reps will open a case and I will never hear from them again.

You do understand what an estimate is?

That doesn't excuse being underquoted by $18.

The only way to avoid that is to take it to the shipper and pay there.  All the shippers have started doing that. At first it was just way over weight or size packages. Now it's "filtered" down any package.  Make sure you round up weight and measure the size of the box with care.

You can see why the river got their own delivery fleet.
