Fedex Charges

The end of March we thought we would test out Fedex as their shipping was much lower on larger packages compared to USPS and Ups... as always we add at least a pound or two to cover any possible errors... and have had no problems in the past with UPS or USPS... 2 weeks later EBay charged us telling us there were adjustments to our labels all three of them, that brought the price much higher had we shipped UPS... one label alone they tacked un $40... I called EBay and they said yes they would check into it and message me, but nothing... I know I saw others that had the same problem... any updates from anyone on this??

Re: Fedex Charges

This has been going on with FedEx for years, there have been hundreds if not thousands of posts about this problem on these boards for many years. You need your own FedEx account to prevent this from happening. I personally  use the free Stamps.com and sometimes use the UPS option instead of USPS or Global Post when shipping Export as UPS offers up to a 85% discount although I don't know if I ever rec'd close to this amount.  Over ½ the time UPS is cheaper and the cost has never changed from what was quoted.

Re: Fedex Charges

FedEx has many, many, many various "surcharges" that may be applied. The surcharges may not (generally don't from what I read) appear in the eBay "estimated cost.

Surcharges such as:

Too much tape.

Plastic outer packaging rather that cardboard.

Label "reprint"
