FedEx Address Correction Fee

Hello,

I was charged $19.50 address correction fee from FedEx. I clicked "Get Shipping Label" on the eBay app and printed out the label at the FedEx store. How it is my problem authenticators mailing address needed to be corrected? I called FedEx and they said they would refund the eBay account but will eBay refund me? How do I prevent this from happening in the future?

I won't use them anymore but how do I get my $19.50 refund that FedEx gave to eBay?

Re: FedEx Address Correction Fee

Unknown how to do that: or if you will.

Problem is how it was sent: if eBay has enough info with a refund they will pass it on to the original purchaser; If not.... they are the merchant of record.

Re: FedEx Address Correction Fee

I use Pirate Ship and once got a ~$19 chargeback from UPS for some address-related issue.  I contacted the buyer, who confirmed that he received the item with no issues.  He also verified that the shipping address was the correct address.  I filed a claim with UPS and got a refund quickly...within a week.

I'm pretty cynical, so I doubt it was an error.  They (probably) intentionally do this hoping that some percentage of customers either won't notice or won't bother.

Re: FedEx Address Correction Fee

FedEx and UPS will occasionally do this on their own, but they aren't suppose to unless authorized by the shipper of record.   With your own account you can easily get it refunded.  Going through ebay you will have to hammer on ebay to help you since they are the shipper of record.

Re: FedEx Address Correction Fee

Try going on ebay Facebook. You will get better help there than calling customer service.
