I have made a recent purchase on ebay for a blood pressure machine, I noticed on the tracking that it said "delayed waiting to be processed for delivery" well past the delivery date. (im the buyer) I have called Australia post and asked them why this service is sitting at the sydney airport not moving. They then said that "the shipment has been refused to be put onto the air service due to the sender not providing a dangerous goods deceleration form as the item contains a battery" I have then asked them what happens now and they said "it gets sent back to the supplier"
now looking at these other instances where people have asked a similar question on here and there is talk of the sellers getting the package back and not having to provide a refund or the buyer having to pay shipping again.
now my question here is. in this instance where it is clear that it is the sellers fault for failing to correctly declare the contents of the package being shipped causing this behavior from Australia post. Is it reasonable if i as the buyer have to wait .
1. 6 weeks for this shipment to potentially be returned to the seller.
and 2. to have to pay shipping again after that long delay in order to get my item?
and yes i have opened an INR on this case and it is entirely the sellers fault this has happened according to Australia Post

You should win the INR and if you don't, you can appeal with the info from Australia Post that the package was rejected due to improper paperwork on the part of the seller.
