So I sold an item to a customer in France. It's over $150. The order detail does say:

FRxxxxxxxx - Import VAT Paid, excluding duties
When I use Simple Export Rate (from PirateShip) to create a flat rate label, it does ask me enter this tax detail. So I am not responsbile for anything else right? The buyer already paid VAT.Also, just curious, when the buyer receives the item, does he need to present this VAT payment as proof?
Also, my other question is, how do you guys enter tracking no? It looks something like "AHOY12345" and when I put that into ebay, no carrier pops up.
Look at the address that appears on eBay.
FRxxxxxxxx - Import VAT Paid, excluding duties
appears as a part of that address so, no, you do not have to enter it a second time which is why it does not show up on Pirateship. Since the information is a part of the address the buyer does not need to present anything as proof of payment. I have seen some reports on these boards about some countries that try to charge the tax again. I gave no details on that nor even the validity of the claim. Might be real, might be a misunderstanding about other fees, But i any event it is nothing you can do nor worry about.
As for your second question - PS automatically enters the tracking number for you and the carrier is Assendia. You do not need to enter it manually. Your eBay and PS accounts are linked so PS downloads the ship to information and then automatically uploads the tracking when you create the label.
