I recently went to using Media Mail for my shipments. I was using First Class but with the recent changes on postage I had to make the change. What I am now seeing is an unrealistic time frame for transit. Ebay tells me and the buyer that a package from Michigan to Florida should arrive in 3 days. The Post Office gives a general time frame of 2 to 8 days for Media Mail. Why then is Ebay saying the earliest time to be 3 days and the end time to also be 3 days. Is anyone else experiancing this? I had a buyer open an item not received case because of this. It was shipped on Monday and it is now Monday 7 days later. Case opened.

I was using First Class because my packages weigh less than 15 ounces. Then the Regional change caused the actual cost of $3.05, to ship anywhere in the USA, to now become $3.22 up to $3.63 to CA. Media Mail is $2.75 anywhere. That allows me to still offer free shipping. I tested the waters with a few listings to find that Media Mail was moving very fast. It was getting delivered within 5 to 7 days. So I moved all my listings with free shipping to Media Mail with the option to pay additional for upgraded shipping. Then I noticed Ebay was giving expected delivery time as 3 days. Reguardless of where it was going. With Media Mail.
Usually Ebay gives a time frame showing the earliest, and the latest time to expect a package to arrive. For some reason my listings are not showing that. The earliest and latest times are the same date. Usually 3 days after it is mailed. I see other sellers listings showing a time frame for earliest and latest expected delivery of 3 to 7 days. I am using Google Chrome with Kangroo PC. The PC has very limited memory. Is my use of the Kangroo PC and browser causing my issues?

I hopefully have made a change to the tags and the topic title. From expected delivery to estimated delivery. My error. I chose the wrong words when I started this discussion.

I have been a mail carrier for 19 years.
Media Mail can be bumped off any transport at any time for up to 3 days at each point to make room for higher class mail. Though this rarely happens more than a time or two, it can. Most Media Mail moves rather quickly, I recently had a MM package to Alaska arrive in 2 days from Ohio. However I have had ones to the same address take 3 weeks in the past. To her it does not matter as she only gets delivery by float plane once a month.
