Error: We're having trouble printing your label. Please enter a valid value for destination city

Trying to print a USPS FCI label to Hong Kong. It's a valid address. It's not too long. A city is entered.

I get past the first label screen, get to the customs informatio screen, click submit, it loads and then this error is presented:

We're having trouble printing your label.

    • Please enter a valid value for destination city

What can I do?

I make very little on eBay. Nothing I enjoy more than having my time wasted

This may or may not help, however, whenever I had a problem with an international shipping address, I googled "how to ___________ shipping to ____________" and it has worked for me every time.  I know it is frustrating because I was never sure if the address was correctly entered or if I was making a mistake.

Sometimes it was as simple as moving something to another line in the address.  Hope this helps!

I massage the address until eBay takes it --

sometimes using an old address that previously worked --

then printed sticker/handwrite the buyer's address on the label.

The label only needs the destination country to get to that country --

after that, that postal system will read the handwritten address for delivery.

It won't allow me to edit the shipping address. All characters are in English. Previously, when there was an error like the address was too long, the shipping label page on eBay would prompt me to edit the address before I could even advance to the customs page. Now it is letting me process all the way through and an error happens after the website times out.

If I try to adjust the label a small box pops up, promptly disappears before you can do anything and returns to the original shipping page.

If I don't want to get dinged I'm going to have to pay more and use stamps.com or another service to create this label.

Nothing like investing hours trying to correct a problem on eBay's end

No help here, but I just want to add that I'm experiencing exactly the same problem, again with an item going to Hong Kong.

There are several other threads talking about the same thing, and none (that I've found) offer any answers other than "don't use ebay shipping for this item"!

Hey ebay, could you look into this?

I am having this exact problem, too. I have shipped to this same buyer in Hong Kong twice before, addressed exactly the same way. I noticed that when changing screens to the customs screen the country name is not carried over. And I have the same problem that the ship to address can't be edited. A little box pops up and then disappears.
