Entering package Type

Ok, I brought a padded envelope to the post office yesterday and they told  me I overpaid and chose a slower way to ship-parcel select.  So I won't choose that again but I did not have the option to choose a cheaper faster way to ship.  So apparently I entered something wrong.  When I enter dimensions am I entering the measurements for a padded envelope or is there an envelope option??  I just dont understand why I didn't see those cheaper options at checkout??

Apparently your Parcel Select package was either cheaper to mail as Priority Mail, or it weighed 13 ounces or less so it could go First Class. 

Parcel Select is rarely the best choice for any package.

If your listing states Parcel Select, I don’t think that the new label set up will  automatically show you other options.  To see other options, there is a button on the top right that you can click on to give you more choices. I can’t remember what that button is actually called but someone else will know.
