I recently opened a return case and entered the Tracking Number wrong. Its missing 2 numbers at the end. When I try to change it this shows up "The tracking number you have provided already exists in our system. Please use a valid tracking number for this return." Need help as Ive checked the tracking on USPS.com and it shows as Out for Delivery but on the return case it shows up as In transit. How can I fix this?

The right one. It automatically showed up as soon as it was delivered. I think it was already posted thats why it wouldnt let me change it and as soon as it was delivered it changed back to the original (right) tracking number.

I know when a seller inputs the wrong tracking #, the system allows to add another tracking #. Does it do this for buyers?
If not, add it into the return request notes to seller.
If you can't do this either, send the seller an ebay message with the correct tracking #.

Yes it let me change it but everytime I put the correct tracking number this message appears "The tracking number you have provided already exists in our system. Please use a valid tracking number for this return."
The problem is that the item already has been shipped and delivered to the seller. The tracking on the return request hasnt updated because I entered it wrong.
I already sent a message to the seller hopefully I get my refund

Hi @elscarface-4, so the "Tracking number" shown under "Carrier" is wrong?Try entering "420" and the 5-digit zipcode ahead of the correct tracking number.
For example, eBay's zipcode is 95125, so if you're returning to eBay --
enter 42095125 plus the tracking number onto the page.

Yes the tracking number under the carrier is wrong. Its only missing the last 2 digits.

If you got the label from eBay then you don’t need to upload the tracking, they already have it. That’s why you get that error message

@missjen831yeah i got it from ebay but i didnt know that. After printing it i input the tracking manually and now it wont let me change it back.
