Hi, I made a sale recently and I bought the shipping label through ebay and printed through QR at the post office. The tracking number didn't scan and kept saying "Invalid Code"
The post office worker said that they'll rely on the address printed for delivery but the tracking number may or may not update
Was it a mistake to send it out? Should i intercept? I'm new to selling so I'm afraid ebay will never release my funds if the tracking doesn't say "Delivered" and/or buyer might say it wasn't delivered even if it is.
Please let me know if you had a similar experience and what happened

That means the tracking number was uploaded to the ebay order details, which is good. However, since it didn't receive an acceptance scan at the post office, you may have a problem. You only hope is that is is scanned later on or at the very least at delivery, or the carrier manually types in the tracking number. Otherwise, your money will be on hold for awhile, a dishonest buyer could claim non-receipt, and ebay may ding your account for late shipping.
Your post office should have never accepted the item if there was something wrong with the tracking number. Hopefully the tracking number really is ok and a delivery scan will clear the problem. Just keep an eye, or put an email alert, on the tracking to see what happens.

Are you saying the Post Office scanned the QR code and printed a label, but then the Post Office scanned the tracking number and it came up invalid? If so the post office should not have sent it and looked into the problem. Without a valid tracking number you can' intercept it or do much of anything now.
What happens when you go to USPS.com and input the tracking number?

Yes that's exactly what happened.
When I look up the tracking at first it said "tracking not in system" but now it says awaiting item even though it's been two days since it was mailed.

Thanks for your insight. I ended up contacting the local sorting facility and a postal worker there was able to correct the issue within their system. the tracking updated within an hour and it is moving in the right direction. That's the good news. They didn't elaborate on the nature of the issue/ glitch. I think next time that happens I'll cancel the label and use ☠️ ship

Glad it got straighten out. I am thinking it was just a problem at your local post office, as that type of glitch would be all over the discussion boards if an ebay or even a USPS problem.
