Ebay doesn't care about their sellers or buyers only money!

I have been on Ebay for 15 years and have both bought and sold with 100% feedback. Recently I sold a collectible and the buyer agreed to pay the shipping, so no problem, right? Wrong somehow the dimensions were wrong, but I bought the shipping label from Ebay anyway. They sent my payment where the price from the buyer included taxes of course s&h fees and transaction fees. well, the label I printed was $13.09 more than what the buyer paid, so now they want to charge my bank account the full $24.44 instead of the difference of what the buyer paid and what it cost. I contacted them and spoke to an agent but there were useless from a help standpoint and as a result I am closing my account with Ebay because they care more about money than the people that they are actually relying on to earn that money! After paying me for my sell and subtracting all fees they want to now charge me again I can and will sell elsewhere!!!!!!!!!!!

"...buyer agreed to pay the shipping..."

it looks like they paid the amount you asked them to pay (12.55)

"right?...Wrong somehow the dimensions were wrong..."

How is that anyone's fault but your own?

So, the label cost 24.44? The buyer PAID you 12.55...that means you were 11.89 "short" in YOUR shipping estimate. So, yes they are going to charge you the full cost for the shipping label because the cost of the shipping label (you estimated at 12.55) was included in the sale proceeds. If your label cost less than 12.55 you would get to keep those additional funds, instead you were short.

(Item Price + Shipping + Sales Tax) was the total sale.

The dimensions must be accurately entered when you list in order for the buyer to pay the correct amount for calculated shipping.   The buyer pays you what in shown to them when they buy and this goes to you as part of your payout.

When you print your label, the full amount of the postage is then deducted from you.  If the incorrect information was given to the buyer and you had to pay more when you printed than they paid, that is unfortunately how it works since that is your responsibility.  The full amount is deducted, but you received the lesser incorrect amount from the buyer to offset part of your loss.

I noticed that your postage varies wildly on those Ashton Drake dolls you have listed.  You might want to double check to be sure your dimensions are entered correctly.   I am assuming the dolls are similar in size, so I wondered why some are around $12., others $26 and a few are $72. to ship to me.  If they are different sizes, please disregard this.

Let everyone know when you find somewhere else to sell that will...

Conduct fair business for all parties

Won't discriminate if you are not a high volume seller

Have a knowledgeable customer service staff with its customers as the number one priority

I recently had an issue with payment of my seller funds.  I had the all to familiar "hold on payment "  The list of reasons did not apply to me. I am not a new seller.  I have made more than $250.00.  But I did use my own shipping label.  Oops,  a hidden, not well known,  ebay trigger for holding seller funds. When asked about all of these "things" and where could I find reference to  these "things", I was referred to the generic section of ebay  policies.  But what became apparent during that phone call (other than his exasperation) was that I am considered a "Casual Seller " So there's my answer.  Finally, the "lower class"  title that ebay assigns to its casual sellers. You can't win that battle, not a chance, or any other, not with facts or common sense because you are already the designated looser.  A badge I'll wear with honor.

So. If anyone has any suggestions for a somewhere other than ebay I and others would like to know.

As a former Ashton-Drake dealer,    I can state that there is a huge size and

weight difference between one series or another.

But I'd still be 110% certain on the shipping so what happened to the OP

   does NOT happen again.
