I am interested in selling items that I believe qualify for shipping via Ebay Standard Envelope or First-Class Mail. These items include paper currency, stamps, postcards, and sports cards. I understand that these items need to be in certain allowable categories and have certain size, weight and dollar restrictions. When I try to set up the listing, the options for Ebay Standard Envelope or First Class do not appear in the area where I set up the shipping. So far, I have only shipped larger items by USPS Ground Advantage or media mail. Do I need to set up something special in my settings to allow for this or should these options automatically show when I create a listing? Thanks to all in advance for your feedback.

The measurements of your envelope need to be put in to show that the size qualifies for the ESE.
Enter the size and weight in the shipping section. (and it has to be in the right categories)
To use the service, it's important to ensure your envelope meets the below criteria. If it doesn't, the shipment may be returned to you, or the buyer may receive the item with postage due.

Post the item details you are trying to list and we can troubleshoot. Don't think you need to sign up.
As you mentioned "category" is important. It's real easy to have an allowable item that fits multiple categories and not have it in the right one. Reread the rules, it's easy to miss something.

- No smaller than 3.5” x 5”
- No larger than 6.125” x 11.5”
- Envelope thickness is uniform, less than 0.25” inches at all points, and not too rigid
- Weighs up to 3 oz.
- Envelope contains NO clasps/strings/buttons or similar closure devices
- Envelope has recipient address parallel to the longest side
- Envelope is NOT enclosed or made of any plastic material
Price under $20 ($50 combined) was what got me for a while.
