In the last two days, Ebay Shipping has charged two of my buyers the full price for UPS and FedEx Home Delivery. When I go to prepare the shipping label, I noticed that the buyers were charged very high shipping charges, and then when I look to pay for the label, the charge is about one-half of the cost. For example, one buyer paid $44.00, and the UPS charge to me was $22.40 (approximately). I refunded the buyer for the extra cost. Same thing happened with FedEx Home Delivery. My sales have slowed the last week, and I am wondering if that is the cause. I contacted Ebay Customer Support, and the person said they were referring it to IT. Is anyone else having this problem?

There is a spot to choose to pass the discounts along to the buyer.
Possibly in "shipping preferences" under your seller account.
If you had the box checked in the past, perhaps it got "unchecked" by eBay.

As noted in the other post, this is not a problem for IT; it's a choice in your site preferences, under Shipping.

I'll go and search for that. Yes, Ebay must have unchecked that for me. There have been a couple of other things that have been glitchy lately, and I'll check those also. Thanks so much for your answer. 🙂

Found it, and only USPS was enabled for discounts. I added FedEx and UPS back in. Thanks!!

WAIT A MINUTE !!!!
First, eBay is going to scrape a FVF of $5.83 odd of the top of that $44.00 so you really only get $38.17.
Secondly, these boards are replete with posts from sellers who were back charged after the fact by UPS and FedEx for various surcharges such as a somewhat rural address outside of their “normal” delivery area. Commonly referred to as a zone change or a delivery area charge. I got one recently for an “address correction” ( I used what eBay had so I do not know what the problem was), and others.
Don’t be too quick to be too magnanimous.
