EMS but not really?

I've bought a present for my own birthday on 20th July from a Japanese seller.

I picked the cheapest registered international shipping, the parcel was posted on 24th and is stuck on "dispatch from outward office of exchange" since 26th.

Now I've thought he send it using SAL Registered, but when I checked on eBay tracking it says EMS, so I got confused.

I'm almost 100% sure it's NOT EMS because the tracking no. starts with RR. Should I be concerned about this, or is it just a lil mistake made by the seller that I shouldn't even care about?

Also, should I be concerned about the item being stuck in limbo for 2 weeks now? Destination country is Poland, so it's not possible for the parcel to be stuck in ours Polish customs, because I'd have known about it. They always scan on arrival in country. I check on like 5 different tracking sites, and everywhere it's the same, also the "estimated delivery period" is between "August 02 - August 09".

I just don't want to be too harsh on the seller, I mean - the eBay estimates look very optimistic to me, almost impossible to achieve.
But on the other side, I'm not able to contact Japan Post myself and ask what's going on with my parcel, because of roaming and language barrier 😕
Wouldn't opening the case on 11th August be too soon?
What if I open the case, win it, and after about a month maybe actually GET the package? Can I "refund the refund" then? I don't want to be unfair.

OK, then wait a week or two then open a INR case. You have 30 days from the last estimated delivery date to open one, 180 days on PayPal. If it does show up after you win, simply pay your seller again through PayPal, EZPZ.

Don't even think about it. If its not there by Aug 10th, simply open a INR received case )at least it works that way in the US, YMMV).
