I had a customer buy 4 of a item from me.
He never contacted me that there was a problem.
He left me positive feedback but mentioned that 1 or 2 of them were defective.
I want to make this right so last night I packed up another 4 to send to him free of charge.
(They cost me pennies.)
I then realized that this was a EIS sale.
If this were a domestic sale, there would be no problem printing out another label and sending it to him,
But since this is a EIS sale I was wondering if this would create a problem?

It will create a problem. To send a new package there has to be a new order with a new evtn code. If you ship using the original address / evtn code, there's a strong chance the package will go into the liquidation pile.
I'm sure you will figure out what you want to do between refunding, or putting up a new listing (high price with best offer and free ship and tell the buyer to make a $1 offer), or other creative options.

If these are inexpensive items and the buyer opens an MBG claim, there is a strong chance that Ebay will let the buyer keep the items and refund.
They do not want to pay even local return shipping for inexpensive items Ebay cannot resell.
It really is best to advise the buyer to use the system, when it is an EIS shipment.
Unless you are planning to ship by another method, it is best to fight down the urge to do something compassionate for a worthy buyer.

DANG!
I already shipped them out this morning.
Was just wondering if there are going to be any snags.
I may have to figure out a plan B.
Thanks!

You have a chance. Wait to see what happens. Most I've seen not make it past the hub, however I've seen some go through.
It could also create issues for the buyer if they have to pay import fees and all that.
Definite good intentions here and great CS. Next time check if it's eIS first before taking any action. Can get tricky with international regulations, customs paperwork, taxes, duties, etc.
Good luck with this one - hopefully it makes it though.

Definitely. When a seller uses "send refund" the buyer does not get their international ship fees back, even when the seller refunds in full! If refunding it's best to tell the buyer to file a return request then just refund without requiring a return.
eIS is so simple when shipping. Anything out of the ordinary that doesn't go through eBay's process gets complicated.

Regardless of how it ends up, good customer service @inhawaii !
Awesome

My advice is not to worry about it until something happens. No need to waste energy on worry if there is not going to be a problem to deal with.

I would have walked it to the post office and paid for postage at the counter...simple and easy.
And it makes it to the International country.

Good thought, but cannot be done without asking the buyer for the address. Initial sale was via eIS, and the seller does not get the buyer address.

When I printed the (2nd) label, it went through like normal, no error messages or red flags.
I'll just hope for the best.

You are correct.
All it will show me is Toronto, ON, Canada.

Assuming you printed 'another label'; that EIS number is already dead and gone so EIS will not recognize it. Hopefully they send them back to you?
Within a week of purchase you can usually see the full address. Since you can't email the buyer for their address- you might just figure it as 'lost cause'.

UPDATE.
I received a thank you message today from a happy customer in Canada. He did in fact receive his additional items from me. So to recap, you can use "get another label" for a EIS transaction.
