EBay cancelled my refund

Hello. I purchased an item on eBay which was sent to a pick up point far from my house. The seller mistakenly sent it to an incorrect addresse. I was unable to pick it up so after several conversations we agreed that I would be refunded. The parcel was automatically sent back to the seller.  Awaiting my refund now, i receive a message from eBay stating that they have cancelled my refund and that since my payment was not made with PayPal (but my MasterCard) that my refund will not be possible. Has anyone had this? What can I do?

You can teach eBay a lesson it will not learn --

by calling your Mastercard issuer and filing a chargeback --

for the reason: Merchandise returned but credit not received.
