Drop Shipper return disaster

Hi, I recently  purchased an item that was sold by a drop shipper in China unbeknownst to me.  They purchased from amazon and had it sent to me.  It's the wrong size.  For me to send it back to Amazon from Charlotte, NC to Hebron, KY, the price is 32 dollars.  It cost 28 dollars.  I can buy USPS postage for 9 dollars but the accepted return will not accept  USPS tracking.  Had I purchased it from Amazon, it would already be back and I would have the one I need.  I was confused when the package came from Amazon but have since figured out the "business model".  I sell on eBay and if I treated someone the way I have been treated by this seller, they would throw me off.  They will not communicate, offer to get me an Amazon label at a reasonable price or participate in any way.  They know i'm not going to send it back, problem solved.  Any thoughts on how I can resolve this and not be out 28 dollars would be appreciated.

Have you opened an SNAD case with them?

Re: Drop Shipper return disaster

If it's a different size than what you ordered then you need to open up a return case. It will then be the sellers responsibility to issue you a return label or refund. If you ordered the wrong size then it would be up to you to pay the shipping. I don't know if anything could be done about them misrepresenting there location. But if I were you I would def. report them for dropshipping through amazon. That's not allowed.

Is it not allowed on eBay or Amazon?  Thanks for your reply.  eBay decided after 10 days and not any response that yes I could send it back.   Yes I ordered the wrong size and was prepared to pay for shipping but not more than the item cost.

When eBay offered to sell you a return label, and had you log in to any PayPal account to confirm, was that label $32?

Unfortunately, eBay has removed the option for buyers to add a tracking number for their return, so you have to contact eBay either by email at the Contact link above (jump to the bottom of that page) or on social media to provide your $9 tracking number.

Also, eBay has removed the display of the seller's return address, so you must make sure that Amazon is the return address, not some other address. One way is to ask eBay via email, etc. Another is to "buy" the return label from eBay and look at the address on the label: There's no charge for the label if it is never mailed.

When you've confirmed that the return address is Amazon and you've given your own tracking number to eBay, wait up to 5 business days for your refund after the return is delivered.

I would contact eBay and let them know the seller drop shipped the item. It's against eBay policy to drop ship. Let them instruct you on how to return.

Significantly Not As Described. Did you request a return with "wrong size" or something along those lines?

It's not allow on either. The only way ebay allows items being shipped from Amazon is if the seller actually stores their own merchandise at an Amazon fulfillment warehouse, which could or could not be the case with your seller.  That's like when you see something on Amazon and one or two of the color variations will be available to ship right away with prime, and the 10 others have a 1 months ship time. That's most likely a Chinese seller.
