Does This Happen to Other Sellers

Hi Guys ,

I don't get many returns and don't offer a return policy general worthless .

I am a seller that wants a happy buyer over a sale , my sales are just a part time thing will I sell off inventory.

Just had a sale to a buyer , no feed back , I never looked down on new buyers but is making me double think that , this is the second time I go burned by buyers with no feed back .

I sold a Item 29 days ago and claimed USPS damaged , basiclly pic's look like someone jumped on the box , I ship in boxes with 250lbs crush and only ship under 1 lb

My item was crushed beyond recognition and Ebay was fine with that had to refund the money .

I did not want the item back at that point why throw money away , just cut my losses .

Does this happen to others ?

I am now do not want to sell anything to buyers with no feed back after this , I don't need the drama .

Thanks guys

Gregg

Unfortunately, eBay sides with the buyer more than not, no matter the situation.

Does your shipping method have insurance? Like USPS Priority has built in $50 insurance.

I ship to first time buyers all the time, I don't have any more problems with them then anyone else.  However I do check to make sure they are paypal verified.  Both the address and the payment.
RE damages; Stuff happens, that is what insurance is for.  My goods is breakable and our packing is great.  Yet stuff happens.  It does not matter how strong your box is or how great your packing, if a truck runs over it of if a loader drops is out of a cargo bay 🙂  You have picture(s), if the shipment was insured file the claim and move on.
Consider.... as a seller only about 1/2 ( a guess) of the people I sell to leave feedback.  This used to make me think the ones not leaving the feedback were unhappy... but not so.  A Goodly # of people just don't bother.  I get about 1 negative a year (knock on wood) 🙂  You can't please everyone....

I was under the impression that the USPS would not deliver a damaged package without
making a note of the damage.

Why do you check to see if they are PayPal verified? That hasn’t been a requirement in years.

They had matching verified address . The optics of waiting 29 days after receiving my item then filing a return claim and stomping the package flat .

Who waits a month or one day shy of ebay  30day return .

I have been selling for few years and never had a problem with new buyers till this year .

This is the 3rd problem this year selling to buyer with no feed back , basiclly the same waiting till a day or two before 30days and filing a claim , this one was  smashed to pieces .

I have tried to file claims with USPS , its been a few years since I filed my last claim they allways seem to never refund .

Not sure what I am going to do if I get more new buyers making purchases , I'm not motivated to sell to them after this last return , Ebay does nothing for us but make excuses .

Have a great day .

This is one of the pitfalls of not offering returns. I'm guessing you would have your item back if you did.

I guess even if you sold round rocks there are people that would complain the rock came in damaged ... LOL

This s not my bread and butter , I feel bad for the guys with the expensive items , my most expensive is 60 bucks .

I may have another year or so just selling off inventory , I won't miss the drama and allways wondering if your going to get people like my last return .

Good luck with you people sales .
