Do I keep shipping fees as a seller?

If charge shipping, is that money sent to me or directly to the postal service? For example, if something is $10 + $5 shipping, is $15 sent to me? And what if shipping ends up being less- is the excess money returned, or do I keep it?

In other words, is having the $5 shipping fee on a $10 item the same as just charging $15 w free shipping?

@isabzime_35

The buyer payment minus eBay fees is paid to you.

If shipping is less than the buyer paid then you can keep the extra.

If shipping is more than the buyer paid  then it is on you, the seller, to pay the difference.

If you purchase a USPS shipping label through eBay with your pending funds that amount will be deducted from your "payout".

The money is all sent to you and you pay for shipping and keep the leftovers.
