Do I have to use eBay's prepaid "Priority Mail Return Service?"

I'm trying to return an item that weighs 8 ounces. However, it appears eBay it forcing me to use their prepaid Priority Mail label and charging me $9 to do so when I could ship it myself for $4 first class. It seems they already have the shipping tracking number recorded for me. Is there any way I can ship this item back myself and save the $5?

Yes, you can use your own shipping.  Just be sure to upload the tracking number into the return interface.

where did the label come from

if this is a return and someone sent you a label, I would think that the seller paid for it.
