Hi, newbie seller here, please be patient with me as I try figure things out,
I have two items for sale with the exact same shipping policy selected, but whose listing pages exclude different locations from each other. Why would this be the case?
Both have the same shipping carrier selected, so I doubt it's caused by one carrier excluding one country vs the other carrier allowing it. Also, both listings have the same exact same size and weight entered in the shipping details, so it's not like one item could be too big for one country to accept vs the others. For reference, the listings I'm having trouble with are numbers are 314962382714 and 314962848281. They're two AC/DC adapters.
I'm really scratching my head as to why this is the case. Ideally I would like to ship to as many countries as possible, or at least keep the restrictions consistent. Any advice would be appreciated.

If they are both using the same policy I have no idea why the one location shows more country exclusions than the other one. I don't use business policies but I have seen someone else suggest that to fix problems like that, change the listing that has the exclusions to local pickup only. Save it like that and then go back in and add international shipping. Hopefully that will help.

Thanks, do you recall where you saw the forum thread where they discussed how to fix the issue? I tried the fix of changing it to local and back again and it didn't work, but maybe I didn't do it right or there's something else I've missed that I could go ask them about.

I can't find it but I think that I remember which poster made the suggestion. I'll page him just in case I missed something or am giving the wrong information.

The local pickup suggestion isn't likely to be relevant here.
Listing 314962382714 has no exclusions aside from the eBay defaults.
Listing 314962848281 has a lot of exclusions.
You are definitely using business policies @lawrence_laptops and not setting up shipping and exclusions at the listing level?
It looks like you're listing on .ca not .com, is that correct.

Yes, I am using business policies and those two listings are under the same business policy. I can send screenshots later once I'm done travelling for the day.
They are both listed on .ca

I could suggest some stuff you can check out and test to attempt correcting the issue, but since you're listing on .ca we could end up doing nothing more than spinning our wheels. This is the .com forum, not the .ca forum, and not all of the settings and preferences work the same between the .com and the .ca sites.

Yeah no worries, I was able to fix it by deleting and reposting the problem listings from scratch. No idea why but they work just fine now.
Maybe I was just fiddling around too much with the shipping policies (I only recently just set them up a month ago and did a LOT of changes) until I broke something.

Sounds like you might have made some listing-specific edits to your shipping policy, hence the difference.
