Different aspect ratio than advertised, evidence of bootleg?

Purchased latest season of a TV series from 100% rating seller at reasonable price. Noticed that it was slightly fuzzier when fullscreen than my previously purchased seasons, the case layout had changed, and the playback info from the video player said the aspect ratio was 4:3 when the description (and the dvds I played from other seasons) were 16:9.  Is this evidence that the dvd is bootleg and that I should be returning it?

(I noticed that other buyers of this season had left stellar ratings for the seller, though not about playback)

Different aspect ratio than advertised, evidence of bootleg?

I don't know of any series that would go to a 4:3 aspect ratio after earlier seasons of 16:9, so yes, there is definitely something weird there, unless the packaging explicitly notes that it's a 4:3 pan-and-scan edition or something like that (in which case I would not have bought it in the first place).

If it doesn't match the description of the original listing that you purchased from (I'm not sure whether the "description" you referred to was the listing description or that on the packaging itself), I would return it as Not As Described.
