Hello all,
Buyer says item arrived DOA! The was listed as used and worked fine before being shipped. Also buyer received item the 31st and just now reports an issue. Seems funny. What are my options?

Has the buyer filed a SNAD complaint with eBay?

Oh I can understand the delay. I've been so busy following the holidays it has been hard to keep up on anything.
Just let your buyer know if they would like to return for refund that you would be willing to accept the return.
Be very careful here. They may be fishing for a partial or full refund and NOT return the item. Stay polite, professional and firm. Return for refund.

The 31st was only 6 days ago. It is possible they were out of town or had family visiting- either way eBay stuff was on the back burner e.g. our daughter & grand daughter left just 1 day ago to head back to Texas - two day trip from GA (950 miles to be exact).
Your best response to the buyer is to respond with these words you might say "Sorry to hear that "the item" did not meet your expectations - Return for refund and nothing more. Definitely don't say things like it was working fine when I shipped it - you can't prove that. Things can happen during shipping - if well packed highly unlikely, but still feasible.
If the buyer comes back with more rhetoric - simply state "Return for refund" each time they respond. The will go away or return the item.
DON'T REMAIN SILENT!!!

"Dear Buyer,
I'm sorry you're not satisfied with <whatever>. Please return it for a full refund.
Thank you,
Seller"
Send that ONCE, then wait. The ball is now in the buyer's court.
If they open a case, send the prepaid label and wait. If they are fishing for a partial refund they will most likely go away since they don't want to return it, they just want to extort money back. If there truly is a problem, they'll open a case and return. The return button is right there, big as life on their purchase page. It cannot be missed.
