Did USPS First Class Package Rates Change

Hi Everyone,

I was shipping USPS T-Shirts in a poly mailer for $2.66 and then $3.50 and now for some reason it's $4.66

Anybody have thoughts on this?

Here are the rates, since last January.  The $3.50 price is for  10 ounces.

Re: Did USPS First Class Package Rates Change

First Class Package Service rates are now calculated based on Zones, just like Priority Mail. This means the distance a First Class package travels now dictates the shipping rate.

That change is in the proposed new rates for  January 2019.

Those (proposed) changes won't take effect until Jan. 2019, so they wouldn't be affecting the OP's pricing now.

@ the OP: if you pay for your postage with your Paypal account, I would look over your transaction history to verify if you paid the FCP rate for the actual weight of the package you sent. And check to see if you got charged for any weight discrepancies. USPS is  now supposedly billing your PP for those directly instead of giving a postage due notice to buyers.

Nope, it is part of the requested changes but not yet approved or in place.
