Delivery package 1 of 2?

Hello,

I have made some purchases on eBay but this is the first time that I order more than one item from the same seller at the same time. So, I'm still a little bit confused!

The seller gave me a tracking number for my order (it has 4 items) , so I thought the items will be all in one package, but when I clicked on the details of my purchase it  shows:

Delivery package 1 of 2 (item description, details...)  Delivery package 2 of 2
(item description, details...)   with the same tracking number.

I don't understand, is it 1 package or 2? will they be delivered separately even if they have the same tracking number?

Re: Delivery package 1 of 2?

I have had buyers purchase multiple items that I ship in separate boxes.   I purchase a separate label for each box. Did you click on the tracking number to see if there was more than one tracking number.  They can't ship multiple boxes with the same tracking number.

Re: Delivery package 1 of 2?

The items have one tracking number with the same tracking history (from china), now they're in transit in Malaysia and they were given the same  new tracking number. Since they can't ship multiple packages with the same number does this mean they're all in one package?

Re: Delivery package 1 of 2?

This seems really strange to me as you can't ship multiple packages with the same tracking number.   For example,  I recently purchased 60 gallons of shipping peanuts.  The seller shipped them to me with two tracking numbers as he shipped me two bags.   Therefore, I would assume that they are all being shipped in one package if there is only one tracking number.  Perhaps something hinky is going on?

When you receive your package make sure all the items you ordered are there.  If for any reason something is missing you will need to open a claim.  Be careful how you do it.   The claim needs to be "not as described" for missing items.  If you open a claim for  "an item not received" the claim will be closed in the seller's favor because there is a tracking number showing delivery.

Yes, I'll wait and see. Hopefully, everything will be there. 😊

Re: Delivery package 1 of 2?

this happened to me when i just purchased new mud terrain tires.

The tracking number was exactly the same but each tire was its "own package"

so essentially I had 4 different tracking information with one tracking number.

They all came at the same time.

Re: Delivery package 1 of 2?

you had 4 different tracking information with one tracking number so there was 4 packages, right?

I don't have different tracking informations, it's the same info in them both with the same tracking number. even with the new tracking number from Pos Malaysia, it still the same info!

Re: Delivery package 1 of 2?

Sometimes I will have a buyer make multiple purchases; I will ship together in one package.  I then input the tracking information for the one/s that did not automatically include it.  If a seller is able to send an invoice for the items and the buyer pay from the invoice, I think all the items will show up automatically correct?

If I ship multiple items together, I always send a message to the buyer to indicate there are two items (different eBay item numbers) within the same package.

It is a risk for the buyer and the seller when more than one item is included in one package, at least I think so.....
