Delayed shipping

Hi. I don’t have a store; not big enough. So I can’t use the store-on-vacation benefit.  We just started about a 10-day vacation. Checked email and an item sold this morning. Contacted the buyer to let them know I can’t ship until May 1 or 2, and gave the option to cancel. Haven’t heard back. If buyer wants to wait for item, how can I avoid a ding and how can I avoid other sales while on vacation, should that happen? TIA

To avoid today's 'ding', the best case scenario is that your buyer will allow cancellation of the order (Buyer requested) and will wait until you are off vacation and are able to relist it for them to re-purchase.

To avoid other sales while on vacation, use the 'Time Away' feature.

Re: Delayed shipping

You don't need to have a Store subscription. The vacation option is now called "Time away" and can be used by any seller.  You can choose whether to still allow sales, but for a 10-day absence you should block sales IMHO.
