Whether I use Safari or Google browsers the default mailing option for all my items is Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope. I called eBay tech support, they said use the Google browser because of problems with the Safari browser. That worked once, now both browsers default to the Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope.
Has anyone ever had this problem and if so what was your solution.
Thank you.

The problem is that you offered USPS Parcel Select in the listing,
but eBay Shipping no longer sells labels for Parcel Select.
.... so they default to the flat rate envelope.
Ship using regular Priority Mail, or use one of the flat rate boxes.

As noted in the other post, eBay has decided to phase out access to Parcel Select Ground labels, even though USPS has made no changes in their services or policies, and it's offered by all other online postage sellers including PayPal, endicia, stamps.com, etc. When it's not offered, the shipping label page usually defaults to the first option on the list which is flat rate envelope. You can purchase Parcel Select Ground postage through PayPal at
www.PayPal.com/shipnow
But do compare prices before you do that. For Zones 1 - 4, the USPS online price for Priority Mail is less than a dollar more than Parcel Select Ground. If you're a TRS you get a 3% discount when purchasing Priority labels through eBay, which often makes it cheaper than Parcel Select
IMHO Parcel Select ground should only be offered when necessary such as for hazmat or Oversize packages (i.e., length-plus-girth above the Priority limit of 108 inches).
The Shipping calculator in eBay listings defaults to show the retail price for Priority Mail, which exaggerates the cost difference between Priority and Parcel Select. For instance, the grapevine pitcher that you recently sold is showing a shipping cost to me of $10.79 for Parcel Select and $15.20 for Priority, BUT the online cost for Priority would be $11.69, which is only 90 cents more than Parcel Select. And Priority would be faster, safter for your fragile item, would include insusance and maybe also a free box.

@ermay5 eBay removed parcel select from the label flow because of the high number of items not received refund requests. Priority shipping is usually just a little and comes with $50 insurance or $100 for sellers that are TRS.
If you still want to use Parcel Select you can buy the shipping label on Pirateship.com. They also charge commercial base rate the same as eBay labels. It is free to use and integrates with eBay.

1st thing I see is you are charging $9.90 for 1st Class Standard Shipping- which never costs over $6. You are going to wind up with someone un happy and possible neg or want partial refund.
Either change the price, raise the price of the item and lower shipping cost, or ship via Priority for all items.

"you are charging $9.90 for 1st Class Standard Shipping- which never costs over $6"
The shipping calculator in eBay listings defaults to show retail pricing. So if a seller enters a package weight over 13 ounces, it will default to Priority Mail pricing, just as the clerk at the PO counter would do. The workaround is to enter 13 ounces, since the current postage cost is the same for 13 to 15.99 ounces.

Glad I found this post, I am having same problem and have been "chatting" with tech support. Not sure why they couldn't have told me the responses below! One person told me to talk to the post office!
