Deduction for damaged return?

I have searched before asking but I can not find this. Sorry if I missed it I am kind of new at this.

After an item is returned but used or damaged, can a deduction be made on the refund? TIA

You can offer partial refunds for damaged returns under one of these two scenarios:

  1. You are a Top Rated Seller offering 30-day or longer returns.
  2. You offer 30-day or longer free returns (seller paid returns).

That said, you can always go over to PayPal and manually do a partial refund.  I'm pretty certain that if you should do this then the return on eBay will not close, and the buyer is still eligible to "ask eBay to step in" to get the rest of their money refunded (you'll also not get back eBay Final Value Fees for a partial refund).

Not if you have a 'No Returns' policy. No returns and no refunds are two different animals entirely.
