Ebay global shipping is a scam! Do not be fooled by the slightly lower shipping rates.
Twice I have sent packages international and have had them returned by ebay.
They got shipped to Los Angeles, then sat at their facility for 3 weeks then returned back to me.
Ebay charged the FULL international shipping rates to have the package sent to California then returned back to.
I'm out $300+ in shipping charges for ebay failed delivery.
Somehow ebay global shipping is more than happy to accept your weight and dimensions, receive the package and reject it once it gets to the shipping center. The packages get returned and you have to pay another $165 in shipping to deliver the package to your international customer.
Spend the extra $5 and send through USPS.
EBAY DOES NOT STAND BY THEIR BUYERS OR SELLERS. When I contacted customer service, they said to just invoice the customer another $200 for delivery. What buyer is going to satisfied having to pay $400 for delivery that's a month late? What seller is going to be ok spending $350 on shipping for an item that only sold for $80. (total payment received was $245.) Now I've got to cover an extra $100 in shipping, made $0 on the item, and have to pay ebay fees on top of that.
ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!

The GSP center for the US is in Kentucky, why are you shipping to somewhere in LA?

If you are shipping the packages to Los Angeles, you're not using the GSP.

Do you mean the new program
eBay International Standard
that is not the same as the global shipping program

this is a confusing issue for many,it just so happens that the new programs name is also the same as the GSP,when you print out a label for the GSP it does not say global shipping program at all.what it does say is the new name for the new program.I have used it twice,it only saved me 9 cents. One was for a buyer in Romania who loved to get my goods but I have had a few problems shipping there and he has had to refund me a few ties over the years when the slow packages to Romania finally made it there.I also used it recently for a 0 feedback buyer from france.
I do not list the fact that I use it,since it does add a few days to the delivery but if I smell trouble I might use it to reward an impatient buyer.I think it is junky compared to usps edelcon service but I really do now know.I have heard DHL handles it,when I used it I sent my packages to New York ebay shipping center
