Hello i'm from the Philippines so i don't really understand Ebay that well since i'm new to using this site.
i know its gonna be about priority shipping, weight and stuff but like some shipping is horrendous, like the postage is more expensive than the item itself.
So ive ordered Economy International shipping twice and one doesnt have tracking
I have royal mail international standard royal mail, also doesnt have tracking
do sellers just dont want to put tracking sometimes?
it seems some of the sellers lie about their stocks, postage, and location. i can talk to the sellers yes but some of the ones ive talked to are slimy and inconsistent especially about postage
one of my experience is the seller is charging me 40, but i paid the item with free postage it said so in the listing!! and then they suggest i pay 20, there were two options, 20 usd or free postage. then they wont let me use free postage? **bleep** it was there, listed. are they lying about their location or where they are based at? or is the listing just inaccurate
another experience is
the listing says 40 GBP to ship to my country, the seller was nice enough to say he will make a new listing ''
' with the correct postage for me which was 10 GBP ''
I want to shop better and not be deceived i do look into the postage/tracking service but its inaccurate? it says there will be tracking then the seller doesnt put tracking? and even if the seller has huge positive feed back and few negatives, they act so slimy in messages, stuff like inconsistency with postage price, ETA and stuff
what else should i know to shop better?

Mailing things internationally can be very expensive, and varies from country to country. In the US, international postage tripled in 2014 (literally tripled!) and have gone up regularly since. Some international mail has tracking, some does not.
Also bear in mind postage from some countries to other countries is extremely cheap, due to a terrible treaty with the UPU most nations are signatory to (the postal service in America loses a fortune every year due to this treaty shipping packages from China for a fraction of the cost of domestic shipping, and there is no such reciprocal agreement for cheap postage from the US to China.) If you are able to get really cheap shipping from Chinese sellers but not US sellers, that is why. US sellers have no control over this.
If you want predictable shipping costs with tracking and are buying from US buyers, buy from a seller who offers "eBay International Shipping". You will get a tracking number, and all costs disclosed upfront.

ig its just better to find a seller who is transparent and communicates well about the shipping, thank you so much!! 🙂
