I rarely insure, usually just do sig confirm. But the other day I had a $73 sale and wanted to confirm. Yes, it was going in a Priority envelope, but I wanted USPS insurance on the item. HOWEVER, USPS was not an option, only shipcover, which I did choose, but it was more expensive and I don't even understand what it is.
Has USPS insurance been eliminated? Asking only in case I have to insure another package in future, and my preference is USPS. please REPLY..THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Did you click the little down arrow in the shipcover box? USPS Ins. still shows up for me.

I'm surprised you would pay for the extra insurance, considering that Priority Mail includes $50 of coverage at no additional cost.

If you are TRS seller you get $100 of insurance through USPS. The option for insurance won't show until the purchase is over the $100 threshold

That was my first guess, so I checked; he isn't.
