Experts,
I have two auctions with GSP as the only international shipping option closing within a day of one another. There is one persistent international bidder who may end up getting both items. If that happens, what are my options for giving a deal on the shipping?
Would this be more complicated under GSP? With regular shipping I could just send an invoice with both items and reduced or free shipping. With GSP can I do the same thing?
I assume eBay will send the buyer an invoice reflecting shipping and customs after each of the auctions ends. Is the GSP program flexible enough to allow the seller to specify combined shipping for two listings ending on different days?
Alternately, could I give the buyer a shipping discount on both items? I can't recall ever seeing the actual invoice that the buyer receives for a GSP purchase, let alone having the opportunity to adjust the shipping charge.
Any advice or experience with this situation would be appreciated.
Mike

If the items are in the buyers cart and they pay at the same time, the international portion of the shipping and the import fees will be automatically combined by the gsp. Any domestic shipping discounts that you set up will not apply and you can't change the invoice in any way. You can refund the buyer a portion of the domestic shipping later on if they have overpayed or as someone else suggested, you can put this two items in one listing for the buyer. Or do nothing and let them pay the full two domestic shipping charges although that really isn't fair to the buyer imo and is one of the reasons some international buyers don't like the gsp.

No deal ship separately.

I have been unsuccessful in getting the Global Shipping Program to combine shipping. With eBay's Standard International Shipping it allowed me to combine shipping.
To get the correct shipping and insurance amounts I have relisted multiple items into one listing and then have the Buyer repurchase. After they repurchased then I canceled the other items.

How about this? Could I add eBay International Standard Delivery to both auctions, and then message the buyer to select eBay International Standard rather than GSP? Then I would have the flexibility to combine shipping under the International Standard Delivery process. [Or maybe it's too late to do that.]

Sure you could do that before anyone bids. Once there is a bid you can not do that. With the GPS and Standard International selected only the GPS will show. I have had to change this after a auction ended. But I would have to list it with only Standard selected and after they order the item then cancel the first listing.
Just a little info, it seems if a item is 2 pounds or less and $100 value or less then the Standard is cheaper, but takes longer.

Why? You're not in favor of saving the buyer a bit of money when possible?
Combined shipping for the international portion of the shipping has been available for a long time although sellers often suggest that it isn't available.

I just had an invoice request and there was no option to give them GSP quote. First off, I don't know what the buyer pays so I cant give them an accurate invoice.
They told me that all I would need to be concerned about is getting the package to domestic hub and they will do the rest. But there is no option to give them the domestic shipping quote
From what I see. It does not automatically update. I had to create a listing with the requested items.
I called Ebay 4 times and not one of the reps knew the answer. Two of them made one up yo get me off the phone

This is an old thread and it was referring to the GSP which was set up differently than the new EIS program that you are using. That program does not have combined shipping set up at this time. You can set up a listing for them with both items and put in the domestic shipping cost or method that you would normally use. Then ebay will add the international shipping cost. You can not send an invoice for EIS.
If you don't make a separate listing, the buyer will pay the full international shipping cost for each item. If they pay for them at the same time you can send the items in one box but they will still pay shipping for each item.
