I have had people buy two or three things with separate payments before and have never had a problem adding the tracking number from a combined shipment to the purchases until now with managed payments.
Adding tracking will not work.
Anybody have a fix for this? Creating separate shipments for three small items would make no sense.

@pargran3 If you have 2 or more items that have been purchased separately from the same Buyer (yes, because of eBay's ongoing and never fixed cart - but that's another issue) then click the Print label button on ONE of them. When the New Label Flow opens in the upper right hand corner is the Print labels in bulk link, click that. The next page will have all your items waiting for shipping labels ... check the ones you want to combine and you can combine them there. You may have to check and remove ones that you do not want to print labels for at that time but you can combine them there.
-NOTE: The bulk label flow will NOT print the receipt portion of your label like the normal single label flow does, you can print a separate "summary" page for your records ... The bulk label will also be missing the eBay banner at the top of the label.
AND the next time you print a single label you will have to recheck the box to to include the receipt with the label you print.
Gee, its sort of sad when we have to explain all the glitches and issues with performing a simple task isn't it?

Thank you. I will void the label I did print and try your suggestion.
Back shortly.

Yes, please let us know how that works ... THAT is how I do it. I have requested a video of a simplified Combined shipping process because the current method, as you will learn, if pockmarked with problems ...

Well, it did not work since I had already generated a label that I was going to use for the shipment. Silly me. i just thought it would work like it always had.
I will keep working on it.
What a pain in the patootie

sheila@ebay Good afternoon Sheila, here is another perfect example why we need not only a good step by step video of Combining shipping but a simpler process on the label flow. Right now the label flow has the "Print labels in Bulk" link BUT, that is really geared for higher volume Sellers who are going to simply print lots of labels with few it any changes. The label flow needs a simple "Combine" button, then the Seller selects which items to Combine and the label results based on the choices. This OP has run into issues, and I have even done what was in their OP, simply copy the tracking number from one Sold item to another. But that's not necessarily a clean fix nor does it work all the time as they report. I know you are newer to the scene but this has been an ongoing issue for .... years.

Yep ... its been an issue for years ... I looped one of the eBay support team members in on this thread ... I have a vested interest in seeing eBay FINALLY fix this ongoing issue.

I am small time and really do not run into this very often. Got blindsided when it did not work as I have done before.
I seldom gripe but this makes no sense to me.
If I have to send 3 separate shipments to prevent a no tracking pinch I suppose I will do so, but I will no penalize the buyer on shipping cost.
Wait, is refunding as messed up?

@pargran3 No, Refunding is not messed up BUT, if you look down this thread at (my) Post #7 I explain how to use the Bulk label printing function which is how I combine items if they come through as separate purchases. The OP tried that but ran in to an issue since they had already printed one label from their multiple sale.

Could they void that label and then start your process?
Or Void that label and go to their back up label provider and print the needed label? Might require manual entry of the tracking number in sales record?

Nope. Tried that.

I should have known that there would be something different.
If I have to send three packages instead of one that is what I will do and keep Mr. Lincoln's instructions in mind for the next time.
I will refund the shipping overpayment to the buyer and just chalk it up to a learning experience.
Not the end of the world.

They said they tried that, the OP had printed one label, Voided it then tried my suggestion but apparently they would not all combine ... good thougth though!

Oh OK. You tried both canceling the original label AND printing a new one with your back-up Label provider?

There is at least one thread elsewhere that the seller is unable to input tracking information when using another shipping service so it looks like it might be a glitch that will hopefully get fixed.
Meanwhile, I have three packages going to the same buyer in order to meet the tracking requirements.
