Hi,
I seem unable to figure out how to get combined shipping to calculate correctly. For example, I have 3 listings for sale, each of which weights 13 ounces when sold separately. My customer wants to purchase 3 of these items. Shipping from my zip to my customer's zip is $5.90. Combined shipping isn't taking the weight into effect. It is just adding $5.90 for each item for a combined shipping rate of $17.70. The actual rate should be about half that. I have the "apply my calculated shipping" rule checked off for each item and have a rule setup that is supposed to subtract 6 ounces per item. It's obviously not doing any of those things and is just adding the First Class shipping rate per item instead of calculating based on the weight of the items. Any suggestions for what I might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Same with 3 cookbooks in your store. Individually, the books are $3.05 to ship in your store. When you add 3 books together, it says shipping is $9.15 ($3.05 x 3). Your store is doing the same thing as mine.

That shouldn't have anything to do with it. I offer multiple shipping options to allow customers to chose and pay for whichever shipping options need. It's also required to have those shipping options in order to qualify for certain things for being a Top Rated seller.
Global shipping program isn't eliminated by "other shipping options". I have customers that choose either/or regularly. It is definitely my intention. I see customers choosing the options regularly so I know that is working properly and is not what should be causing the problem with combined weights for packages.
More info about the Global shipping program can be found here (along with explanations from eBay that explain to set it up the way that I have it): https://www.ebay.com/help/global-shipping-program/default/global-shipping-program?id=4646

The shipping weights vary by product. If an item can ship with packaging for 6 ounces, that is how I list the item. If it's approximately 11 or 12 ounces but can very with packing materials, I round up and list it for 13 ounces.
I added some plates from your store that showed $11 shipping individually but combined shipping was $16.50 (savings of $5.50 ebay shows). How is it calculating the combined shipping rate for those items?

The plates that I added from your store all show as "standard shipping" with no other options. I wonder if that's part of it that you aren't offering multiple shipping options?

I spoke with eBay US last week about this issue. Apparently it's a known problem and there are a lot of tickets open for this issue (or there have been a lot of reports about it ... I didn't ask to clarify).
Anyone have a work around?

Hello,
I am having the same issue and I have lost sales over it. If you list an item that can be shipped first class for one it’s fine. It’s when the buyer buys 2 or more that the first class shipping doubles, triples, etc. If they buy more than 1 and it’s pushes the weight past a pound, the first class option should not be available. That is not the case. The other shipping methods calculate properly but the buyer is only focused on first class because that is what comes up first.
I hope you found an answer.
Thank you!
