Changing shipping costs after they purchased

Hello. Someone has just purchased some books from me, 20  small books, made an offer, I accepted, but now asking me to ship media instead of the priority that I had it at. Question. How do I or can I change it to media shipping costs prior to him paying the bill? Thanks for the help.

My kneejerk reaction is that you'll have to cancel the Order and relist it with Media Mail shown. You'll incur a $.30 transaction fee on the cancelled order, but the new Order will reflect the proper order details.

Maybe another poster will come along with a different idea... Good luck to you.

Re: Changing shipping costs after they purchased

You could send him an invoice with the shipping difference discounted.  Once he pays the invoice, if print label won't let you switch to media mail you could skip that and ship at the PO counter.  eBay does not discount media mail so it won't cost any more at the PO counter.  Then manually enter the tracking number from the PO receipt.

Once you see the shipping difference you'll see that media mail is the way to go in the future.
